Volunteer

Volunteering
AidExcel operates as a parent-led organization, driven by a dedicated team of volunteers equipped with specialized training to address a spectrum of challenges faced by families with disabled children. From navigating the complexities of accessing benefits to locating essential services and honing vital skills, our volunteers are here to assist.

Our role extends beyond mere form-filling, recognizing that the labyrinth of jargon can be perplexing. Sometimes, it involves facilitating connections between parents, creating a platform for them to share their experiences. Additionally, AidExcel lends support by accompanying parents to meetings with their children’s schools, ensuring their voices are heard.

Collaborating with local organizations is integral to our mission. We actively work to ensure that the unique needs of parents from minority groups are comprehended and considered in the planning of new services. When local authorities seek parental input, we stand as advocates, amplifying the voices of those we serve.

There are myriad ways you can contribute to our cause. Become a Parents Support Volunteer, engage in school groups, or consider joining our helpline team. AidExcel has opportunities for individuals eager to set up and run parent support volunteers or contribute to extending our helpline hours. Your involvement can make a meaningful impact in the lives of families, and together, we can create a more supportive and inclusive community.

Management Committee

We are fortunate to have an exceptional management committee guiding AidExcel Support Services. Yet, we believe in the strength of diversity and continuously welcome new faces to enrich our team.
We’re particularly looking for individuals who can:

Represent Aidexcel at networking meetings: Share our mission and connect with others in the community.
Volunteer at various events: Assist with event logistics or promote Aidexcel’s services.
We provide comprehensive training for all volunteers, ensuring you have the skills and knowledge to succeed. Enhanced DBS checks are a standard procedure for all positions.

Together, we can make a difference!
Disabilities can be present from birth or may be acquired at any stage in life. At AidExcel, we recognize the importance of understanding and addressing the diverse needs of individuals, and your involvement can contribute significantly to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
